French bubble game: pop the words that fit the rule

Les bulles

Bubbles float up with French words inside. Read the rule at the top (feminine nouns, words about health, verbs…) and pop every bubble that fits before it drifts away. A new rule arrives every 15 seconds.

How to play

  1. 1Read the rule at the top: “feminine nouns”, “words about health”, “verbs”…
  2. 2Tap the bubbles that fit before they float away. A new rule comes every 15 seconds.
  3. 3Leave the others alone: a wrong pop costs points and breaks your combo.

What it trains

Sorting words quickly by grammar and by meaning: noun gender, part of speech and theme. It makes you think about what a word is, not only what it means.

Why it matters for TCF and TEF Canada

Spotting at a glance that a word is a verb or a feminine noun tells you how a sentence is built. That reflex speeds up reading and helps you build correct sentences when you write.

Rules and tips to remember

  • Leave the doubtful ones

A wrong pop costs points and breaks your combo. If you hesitate, let the bubble go.

  • Use endings to spot gender

Nouns in -tion, -té and -ure are usually feminine; nouns in -ment, -age and -isme are usually masculine.

  • Watch for the rule change

The rule changes every 15 seconds. Glance at the top before each pop.
