Alliance Française Vancouver

TCFTEF

Alliance Française Vancouver runs both TEF Canada and TCF Canada, at two sites: Cambie Street and New Westminster. Seats come out in batches, and each batch has its own short registration window, so timing matters more than anything else. Be logged in early, and stick to a single browser tab, because the centre says extra tabs or refreshing can cost you your reservation.

How this centre releases seats

Live seat counter
The centre lists each date with the seats left, and seats can appear at any time when dates are added or someone cancels.

Tips from candidates and the centre

  • Use one tab and resist refreshing. The centre says doing either can cancel your reservation.
  • Don’t ignore New Westminster. In September 2026, the December Cambie Street dates filled up while New Westminster opened a later window with 8–16 spots per date.
  • A “Written & Oral” session covers all four components in one day, so expect to be there from the morning until about 4 pm.
  • Members save 10% on exam fees. Adding PREPmyfuture practice to your exam costs $70, compared with $80 bought on its own.
  • Joining a TEF or TCF prep workshop may give you priority access to a reserved exam spot. If offered one, you have a week to confirm and pay.
  • The centre can take two business days to answer email, so ask your questions well before any deadline.
