Alliance Française d’Edmonton

TCFTEF

Alliance Française d’Edmonton offers TEF Canada and TCF Canada, adding new dates to its exam pages as they are confirmed. Each date gets its own online registration window on a single day, often about an hour for TCF and a few hours for TEF, and seats tend to go before it closes. The exam page is your only source for new dates, since the centre doesn’t answer date questions by email or phone.

How to book at Alliance Française d’Edmonton

  1. Decide which exam you need before anything else. The centre says choosing the right test is up to you.

  2. Note the exact start time of the registration window in the exam table.

  3. Buy your exam online while the window is open. Purchasing only works during that period, and the centre doesn’t take bookings in person or by email.

  4. Fill in the form using the ID you’ll bring on exam day. Your place only counts once the form and payment have both been received.

  5. Watch your inbox, and your spam folder, for the confirmation with time and location, which comes no later than a week before the exam.

How this centre releases seats

Live seat counter
The centre lists each date with the seats left, and seats can appear at any time when dates are added or someone cancels.

Tips from candidates and the centre

  • Exams take place at the Kingsway annex (11812–121 St NW), not the main campus on 123 Street. There is no walk-in reception at the annex.
  • The centre says the booking system can glitch briefly when new dates are released and traffic spikes.
  • Bring the ID you registered with and arrive before the start. Without it, or if you’re late, you won’t be let in. Expect to be photographed on the day.
  • The written parts are done on computer in a group. Sittings usually begin around 10 am, though times vary by session.
