How to book at Institut français de Côte d’Ivoire

  1. Look up the registration window and exam dates in the session calendar on examens.institutfrancais.ci.

  2. Pre-register online right when the window opens at 08:00 on its first day, selecting your session and tests.

  3. Download the registration form from your confirmation email and check your details and tests.

  4. Make a cash deposit at an SGCI (ex-SGBCI) bank branch within 48 hours, or within 24 hours if your place came from the waiting list.

  5. Send your proof of payment as the confirmation email instructs. Without it, you aren’t registered.

  6. Wait for the payment confirmation email, which comes within 48 hours, and your exam notice, sent no later than one week before the session.

Announced booking window
The centre announces when booking opens for a batch of dates. Seats usually go in the first hours, so be ready at the opening time.

Tips from candidates and the centre

  • Windows are short: two days, opening at 08:00. For example, TCF Canada registration for the 26–30 October 2026 session ran on 28–29 September 2026.
  • Each session has a cap on places, and registration shuts once it’s reached, even mid-window.
  • Your photo is taken on test day for TCF Canada and TEF Canada. Bring your national ID card, passport or residence card; photocopies and identity attestations are refused.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before your first test. Late candidates are not admitted.
  • Leave 30 days between two attempts at the same test. For TCF Canada and TEF Canada, a retake means sitting every test again.
  • Use an email address that’s yours alone, and check your spam folder for the form and exam notice.
