Tips from candidates and the centre

  • TEF Canada and TCF Canada cost the same here, so choose by format and available dates.
  • The keyboard is QWERTY US-International. Practise accent combinations in advance, for example the apostrophe key followed by e to type é.
  • TCF days are split into two slots: written 8:30–11:30 am with oral from noon, or oral 10 am–noon with written noon–3 pm. Your individual oral takes about 20 minutes.
  • Waiting periods between attempts differ: 30 days for TEF and 20 days for TCF.
  • Emails are handled in order during working hours (Mon–Sat, 10 am–6 pm, lunch 1–2 pm), so give it at least one working day for a reply.
