Alliance Française de Bombay

TEF

Alliance Française de Bombay runs TEF Canada only, in its computer-based e-TEF format, and takes registrations online only. Each registration period opens at midnight IST, and seats go first come, first served until a session shows sold out. How to book at Alliance Française de Bombay

  1. Note when the next registration period opens. The October–December 2026 sessions opened on 1 September, and the centre says the next period opens at midnight between 30 November and 1 December.

  2. Log in to the AF Bombay online registration platform on a laptop or desktop. If you’ve studied there since April 2017, use that email and “Get my password”; if not, create an account and select Churchgate as your centre.

  3. Put TEF Canada in your cart and pay by credit or debit card. TEFAQ or TEF pour les études en France must be added separately.

  4. Right after paying, and before the registration deadline, email [email protected] (cc [email protected]) with the signed registration form and “Conditions d’inscription et de passation”, a passport photo, scans of your passport (first and last page), PAN card and Aadhaar card, and your payment receipt.

  5. Wait for your randomly allocated time slot, which arrives by email 2–3 days before the exam.

How this centre releases seats

Live seat counter
The centre lists each date with the seats left, and seats can appear at any time when dates are added or someone cancels.

Tips from candidates and the centre

  • Clear your whole exam day. Slots are random, can fall at any time of day and can’t be swapped.
  • Get there 30 minutes before your slot. Late arrivals are declared non-admissible and lose the fee.
  • Carry a printed fee receipt, since digital copies aren’t accepted, along with your original passport, PAN card and Aadhaar card.
  • Pack your own pens, pencils and water, and keep belongings to a minimum: phones and bags aren’t allowed in the hall, and the centre won’t store them.
  • Check every scan before you send your documents. A missing or cropped page makes you non-admissible, with no refund.
  • The rules page still refers to a printed Covid-19 vaccination certificate, so ask the exams team whether it’s still needed.

What we’ve seen at this centre

Watched since Sep 26, 2026

  • 6 dates seen

Not enough history yet for a reliable median.

How we measure: “Dates seen ahead” is the median number of days between a date first appearing on the centre’s page and the exam day, counting only dates added after our first read. “Sells out in” is the median time between seats opening and the session showing as full.
